Maggie Carter (she/her) is a queer storyteller from the heart of the South Carolina mountains. She is currently studying creative writing at Southern New Hampshire University. As a member of the Tryon Little Theater board and recipient of the 2021 Foothills Music Club Award, she allows her lifelong appreciation and participation in the performing arts to inspire the content and creation of her written works. Gathering inspiration from the limitless possibilities of the stage, Carter often includes elements of the supernatural and otherworldly in her work. Each of her unpublished novels, including the newly drafted Out of the Gutter, attempt to reckon the language of the arts with the music of the page.
